In Romuli we climbed a long, steep trail up a hill to find a cemetery with perhaps 70 stones running down the hill.  They were without extensive decoration.  The site was a formidable walk the way we came and the relative isolation would afford the cemetery some protection.  It was fenced but had an open gate.

While I was photographing, a neighboring landowner and his young friend walked up.  He said that the cemetery was not private property as some Internet sources had indicated, but rather that he owned the land around the cemetery with the result that access to the cemetery was via private property.  We all got along so well that soon he invited us to go down the hill for a glass of his freshly distilled fruit brandy.  We finished the visit to Romuli chatting over brandy at the local still.
