In Ramnicu Sarat we found a synagogue that was abandoned but fenced and secured and in good condition.

After some meandering about we found the modest remains of the cemetery on Jidie Street. It was fenced and locked, but a resident directed us to the gate keeper who let us in. I saw perhaps 10 to 20 stones including some fragments. The land appeared to have been used both for grazing and for the production of hay.

We moved on to the Eroilor Street cemetery. It was larger with stones scattered over a wide area. The stones featured nothing remarkable save for photos of the deceased after the fashion of Romanian Orthodox cemeteries.
