Both the town and the cemetery ran along a long, narrow valley in the Carpathian foothills. The cemetery sat on a steep hillside and featured about 200 stones. It was protected by a fence on the upper side and by the sharp slope of the hill on the lower side. There was some evidence of renovation work. The stones themselves were of poor quality and badly weathered. We saw two stars of David. The designs were very simple without elaborate carvings or decorative work. The stones appeared to be a little thinner than what we have seen heretofore.
