The cemetery in Mykolaiv runs along the side of a hill with a deep gully separating it from the Christian cemetery. I had expected a relatively large cemetery but found a very modest number of stones in a site badly in need of maintenance. Many stones had toppled and the underbrush was a serious problem to photography. The artwork was only moderately interesting.
The cross pictured here stood all alone without explanation in what appeared to be an agricultural field adjacent to the Jewish cemetery. There was no readily apparent religious purpose for it to be there.
