Our second stop in Košice was a large cemetery complex on Rotislavova Street.  As we entered the cemetery we found the newer stones on our left and the older ones on the right.  After some distance we encountered a red brick fence that introduced  an Orthodox section. The fence was followed by a small stream with a bridge over it that connected a visitor with more Orthodox graves.  In general, the stones did not feature artwork that was any more interesting than we had seen elsewhere in Slovakia with the exception of a handful of Art Deco touches.  We did note an expectation of security given the series of CCTV poles scattered throughout the cemetery.  The CCTV’s were installed in response to periodic instances of vandalism.
