In Batin we found a very small cemetery containing 12 visible stones.  The person whose property gave direct access to the cemetery was gone, so we entered through the next-door neighbor’s property.  We found the cemetery fenced with barbed wire.  From the house from which the owner was absent we could have entered through an open gate; however, from the neighbor’s property, we had to slip through the barbed wire.  With my guide’s help I managed to negotiate the barbed wire only to find myself in an acacia thicket.  There was no upkeep of the cemetery and the acacias and vegetation posed a serious threat to it, but there was scant danger from humans given the access through private property and the large number of acacias in the cemetery.  The stones were unremarkable.
